Northlight Web Design ("Northlight," "we") builds websites for New Jersey service businesses. This page explains what information we collect on this site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what you send us so we can respond, we never sell it, and we keep things simple.
Information you send us
When you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, business name, town, email or phone number, and your message. Form submissions are delivered to our email by FormSubmit, the form delivery service this site uses. We use this information to reply to you, build the website preview you asked for, and follow up about our services. That is all we use it for.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may log standard technical data such as IP addresses for security and operational purposes, per GitHub's own privacy policy. Apart from the advertising measurement described below, this site does not set its own cookies for browsing.
Advertising and analytics
If you arrived here from one of our ads, advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) may use pixels and cookies on this site to measure whether their ads work. That measurement is governed by the platform's privacy policy and your settings on that platform. We use it only in aggregate, to see which ads perform.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers; we see only the confirmation that a payment happened. Stripe's handling of your data is covered by Stripe's privacy policy.
What we never do
- We never sell your information.
- We never share it with third parties except the services named above that make this site work.
- We never use your information for anything unrelated to Northlight's web design services.
Retention and your choices
We keep correspondence as long as we may work together, then as long as ordinary business records require. Want your information deleted, corrected, or want us to stop contacting you? Email david@northlightwebdesign.com and it will be handled promptly, no questions asked.
